General FAQ's

The main differences between each category are space and yacht age.

The Premium Catamaran yachts will have more space and will typically be newer than Classic Monohull yachts, however even our basic option will still have the same amenities as the rest of the yachts.

Comprehensive travel insurance is HIGHLY recommended to cover cancellations, pre-existing medical conditions, lost luggage/property, death or illnes of a close one, visa issues, injury, etc.

Definitely! Each yacht will have safety devices such as life jackets and dinghies. Just let your captain know so they can accommodate you!

You must ensure that you don't have any medical conditions that would stop you from traveling with us. Our trip is easygoing and will only be as strenuous as you want it to be, but the last thing we want is for you to have an emergency in the middle of the sea!

Cancelations for bookings made at least 30 days prior to the flotilla departure date will only forfeit their deposits so long as the cancelation is also made at least 30 days prior to the flotilla departure. Any cancelations made within the thirty day period will not receive any refund. 

We will send more detailed information related to the marina one month before the departure date, along with more detailed information on your yacht!

If you are a citizen of the United States, Canada, Australia, or the United Kingdom, you can stay in Greece without a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. However, if you are a foreign national from a country outside the EU and the Schengen area, you will need to apply for a tourist visa before your trip. The length of your stay will depend on the visa type and the duration granted by the Greek authorities.

Yes! We will have at least one professional photographer per flotilla trip capturing moments throughout the trip. We will provide a link to you via email of all of the photos taken after the trip is done.

Each yacht will be stocked with anti-nausea medication in the event you get sea-sick.

The cabins in all three categories will feature a double bed, a wardrobe, and its own 220V power plugs.

 

Depending on the yacht, the cabin may also come with its own private bathroom with a shower.

Sailing from one anchor to the next will vary mostly between 1 and 2 hours, with the longest route taking a little under 3 hours.

These short sailing times will be broken up into smaller bouts as the skipper will take you to various beaches, landmarks, and other destinations.

Each yacht has limited space, with this in mind we please ask that you bring only one soft shelled checked bag and a backpack on board.

If you bring additional luggage, you can store them free of charge at the marina.

Your host will prepare your breakfast, lunches, and when not docked at a village, dinners for you and the rest of the ship using only the freshest ingredients. 

Additionally, Seven Moons partners with local tavernas to host dinners where you can try out authentic Greek cuisine!

Skippers will navigate your ship, maintain your safety, clean the decks, and can even help you learn how to sail if you would like!

The host's duties include prepping your meals and providing snacks during your journey, keeping the yacht clean, changing out your sheets midway through the trip, and if there is time, they may even be able to make you one of their signature cocktails!

Each boat will be equipped with EU 220V plugs, allowing you to use hairdryers, shaving machines, and whatever else you typically use at home.

Just make sure to bring converters! 

Check-in will occur at 5pm on the day of departure, and check-out will happen the following Friday at 5pm.

Guests are allowed to stay on board however until Saturday at 9am.

More detailed instructions for how to get to your departure marina will be provided along with your final yacht details, one month prior to departure!

The closest airport to the Lefkas marina is Aktion International Airport (PVK). If you choose this airport, share your flight details with Seven Moons and we will have a professional driver pick you up to take you to your accommodations/directly to the Lefkas marina.

Alternatively, the Athens International Airport (ATH) is likely going to be a more economical option than PVK, but will require you to take a charter bus from Athens to Preveza. If you choose this route, let us know which bus you will be taking and we will have a driver pick you up from the drop off location to take you to your accommodations/directly to the marina.

Yes! Each skipper and host will speak fluent English.

Optional activities that are organized through Seven Moons vary from trip to trip, but example activities include local winery tours and wine tasting, ATV tours, and organized hikes.

 

The details of the optional activities available on your trip will be provided to you at the same time as your yacht details one month before your flotilla date. 

Yes, the flotilla is traveling as one large group under the direction of the head skipper.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast

There are no safes onboard the yachts, however the hull will be locked whenever the yacht is docked to make sure your personal belongings are safe!

Yacht security deposits will be immediately returned to you upon a successful check-out!
